Juicer Machine – Fresh Juice At Home For Better Health
When you make your own juice at home, you put a lot of effort and time into it. If you already own a juicer machine and are already juicing, you know how much work it is from beginning to end – by the time you wash the ingredients, cut them up, juice and clean up of course you have invested at least half an hour. So the least you want to do is enjoy the fruits of your labor – the juice. The best thing you can do is drink the juice immediately. The moment it comes into contact with air or light, the quality of the juice deteriorates due to oxidation and UV radiation. Pour it into a glass and drink some of it straight away. To store the remainder follow these guidelines.
1. Store it for a minimum amount of time. Definitely no more than 24 hours.
2. Store it at a low temperature, but not near freezing – this would lower vitamin content, in the same way that frozen fruits and vegetable are inferior to fresh ones.
3. Store it in the dark. As we said, UV radiation in sunlight and even any light causes enzymes to denature and lose their healing beneficial properties.
4. Store it in an inert material, preferably glass. Try not to use any plastics, as they can not only impart a funny taste but also react with the fresh juice because it is often quite acidic.
The obvious place to store it is in the refrigerator of course, and many people like to use glass milk or juice bottles. Just remember – the sooner you drink it the better for you. Juice made with masticating (slow speed) juicers is known to keep for longer, however, should still be consumed as soon as possible after being pressed. If you are ready to make positive change to your health, why not consider investing in a new juicer machine to use at home? Home made juice is better, and a lot cheaper than juice bought at juice bars or health food shops. You can safely and confidently buy appliances like juicers online, and save significantly over normal retail prices.
