Fitness training, along with quality diets that work are the only two factors in getting eight pack abs. But how many people know the effort and dedication you need to put behind, to reach your objective? This is not something easily achievable and all that advertising for easy solutions to get this in 2 weeks with no effort is a scam.

OK, so for the people willing to put in the required effort, this guide will highlight the way to get to the destination, how to get a six pack. There are 2 elements involved in this- one is building the muscle and the other one is loosing the fat. You need to pay attention and to be successful with both of them if you are to see results.

So let’s start with the first step, which is building muscle. One of the good exercises that are very good are the squats. You need to understand how to do the correctly. But let me point out right from the beginning that you need to work out both your abs and your back muscles, as otherwise you will develop imbalances that adversely affect spine.

Then we have the crunches, classic exercise, which is also a bit more difficult. Learning the correct form of execution is key, as most people do not do them the right way. That is why they are able to do hundreds, as if you are doing them correctly, you will not be able to do a lot of them. I recommend to search on the web some movies and descriptions that allow you to really understand this exercise. I would like to point out here only a few important elements. One is proper breathing and the other one is that you should avoid placing hands behind the head – this is a very common practice, which leads though to neck and back problems.

Then, research and do all the other exercises, leg lifts, bicycle crunches, jackknife and other type of gym equipment enabled exercises. If you have access to a gym, get some advice from the gym instructor, especially asking to be observed if you have the correct form of execution for each exercise.

Then the second thing is the weight loss. This is key, so you should not underestimate it. Doing countless hours of abs exercises will take you nowhere if the fat on your belly does not allow for the muscles to show up. Also, doing abs exercises does not lead to weight loss in this area. In order to lose weight effectively you will need to use a combination of proper diet and intensive cardio exercises.

So if you’re still wondering how to get a six pack, these are the fitness exercises you need to do.  Eight pack abs will require more focus and dedication.

When planning exercise fitness training workout plans, it is important to follow a realistic plan that will produce the desired results over time. The details of the program will vary depending on each individual’s fitness goals as well as the results of the pre-screening process which will influence the choice of exercises to be utilized. In general though, the following principles are recommended for a majority of exercise and fitness training workout plans.

Plan to exercise 5 days a week; this can include 2 days of simply walking or jogging for 30 – 40 minutes, with gym or personal training sessions in between. This 5 day a week plan allows some flexibility, as any missed day can be made up later in the week. Of course there is no reason not to stay active on the 6th and 7th days of the week too, but aim for a minimum of 5 active days per week.

Utilize resistance training regularly as one of your core fitness exercises; this can consist of a weights session at the gym, or simple body weight resistance exercises such as squats, lunges, push ups and so forth. Depending on your individual goals, you may opt for a more complex weights program split over two or more days.

Resistance training has many benefits including muscle hypertrophy, leading to increased metabolic rate which translates to higher calorie expenditure at all times, even at rest. Increased bone density is another benefit of weight training, and this becomes increasingly important later in life.

Increase incidental day to day activity; find opportunities to burn extra calories through-out the day. Take the stairs instead of the lift, walk an extra block instead of taking the bus, and so on.

Consume a balanced diet; a balanced diet is an essential part of all fitness training workout plans, and can be tailored to suit each individual’s preferences and goals. Avoid any fad diets and adopt sensible eating habits with a focus on food high in protein, high in fiber, and low in saturated fats. Fresh fruit and vegetables should play a strong part in any balanced diet.

Follow these fitness training guidelines for a consistent approach to achieving and maintaining your health and fitness goals over the long term.

Olympic barbell weights are usually avoided in the gym by average fitness enthusiasts.  They can be intimidating to someone who hasn’t worked with free weights in the past as part of their fitness training routine.  They feel by using a barbell weight set or other free weight equipment it could be dangerous and cause injuries.  Contrary to this belief though, lifting with free weights is incredibly safe, as long as you use proper technique and a spotter if you are lifting a lot of weight.  I can’t help you with finding a spotter, so here are a few tips to make sure you use the right technique when you’re using a weight bench.

First, if you are using your bench from a seated position, such as if you are doing military presses or incline bench presses, make sure that you sit up straight.  Tighten your abdomen and use it to keep your back straight.  Don’t arch your back or slump your shoulders.  If you’re using the weight bench while you’re laying down, make sure that you keep your body straight as well and use your abdomen to keep your back straight.

Especially in fitness exercises like bench press, make sure that you don’t arch your back.  A small natural arch is fine, but don’t arch your back unnaturally as this puts pressure on your lower back and could cause muscle or even spinal injuries.  Always keep your legs and butt in contact with the bench.

Finally, once you have good posture, make sure you maintain it throughout the exercise.  Don’t attempt to do more than you are comfortable with.  Only attempt to do heavy weights once you have the motion down and can do it without losing your form.  Doing so will prevent most of the injuries that people attribute to free weights.

Olympic barbell weights are a great addition to any workout.  They can help you get bigger and build thicker, more functional muscle quicker.  While many people fear they can cause injuries, when used correctly they are incredibly safe.  Start incorporating them into your workout routine today.
